IBM Employee promotes World Community Grid

Giving back is one of my core values, however, with a job that requires extensive travel, I struggled to find the time...that is, until I learned about World Community Grid. Through World Community Grid, I am able to volunteer any time and any place by donating idle time on my computer. I am very excited about World Community Grid, and have shared it with my family, friends, and colleagues.

I am part of the IBM Global Business Services (GBS) Americas Retail Practice, a group of consultants focused on providing business process and technology solutions to retail clients. We have established the IBM - GBS Americas Retail Team on World Community Grid, and currently have 26 members who have generated over 800 days of computer run time since June 2008 in support of medical research, preparation for natural disasters, and the eradication of world hunger. We continue to seek additional members so that we can make an even bigger difference. Please join us!
