2008 World AIDS Day Team Challenge

World AIDS Day is on December 1st, and it is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV and AIDS. Started in 1988, World AIDS Day is about increasing awareness, fighting prejudice and improving education and serves as an important reminder that HIV has not gone away.

We invite you to join us in an exciting opportunity – a World Community Grid Team Challenge to support HIV/AIDS and other research. The World AIDS Day Challenge will help World Community Grid grow the amount of run time - which can be translated into years of research time - that is donated to vital humanitarian research. This is an easy way to volunteer and a way to give back (at no cost to you) during the Holiday Season, the Season of Giving.

Please encourage your World Community Grid team captain to accept this special challenge. In the United States and Canada, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) will initiate the challenge. Other organizations around the globe will also issue World AIDS Day team challenges. If you are not already part of a World Community Grid team, please join one now, and help make the World AIDS Day Team Challenge the most successful one ever.

(To check to see if you are currently on a World Community Grid team, click on the My Grid tab when you sign in. You will see your team name or the link to choose a team in the My Team box.)
