The Microbiome Immunity Project research team is using World Community Grid to carry out the first comprehensive study of the human microbiome - the trillions of microbes and bacteria that live on and in the human body. The project's goal is to help shed light on the role the microbiome plays in autoimmune diseases such as Type 1 diabetes, Crohn's disease, and ulcerative colitis.
Most people who join World Community Grid learn about it from their family or friends, which is why we're asking you to help us recruit more volunteers to support this project.
