As you may know, World Community Grid uses United Devices software for Windows users, so many of the features should be familiar to you. As an added bonus, World Community Grid also provides access to BOINC for devices running Linux, Mac and Windows operating systems.

World Community Grid has many of the same features that Grid.org had. There are active forums monitored by volunteers known as Community Advisors. Also, we provide a link to updates from the scientists via status reports maintained on their websites. Statistics in multiple categories are updated twice a day. There are many teams to join. Perhaps former grid.org members can unite and create one team.
At present World Community Grid has four active research projects (FightAIDS@Home, Human Proteome Folding Project - Phase II, Fiocruz Genome Comparison, and Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy). Each project is described on the research pages of the website, and you can read about recent results and technical breakthroughs described in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Also, our Help Defeat Cancer project recently concluded and we are planning new cancer-related research in the next few months. In addition, we plan on boarding four additional new projects prior to the end of 2007 and already have three projects in our queue for 2008.
Some other features which set World Community Grid apart from other distributed projects include:
