World Community Grid Wins Impact Award

The outstanding work of researchers and the generosity of World Community Grid volunteers has been recognized once again! We are pleased to announce that we recently received a D&AD Impact Award, which recognizes companies that use the power of creativity to stimulate positive change.

Recognition for World Community Grid comes from a wide assortment of places! In addition to recent publicity from news sources such as Forbes, Mashable, and The Atlantic about the OpenZika project, we're thrilled to receive an award from D&AD Impact.

The D&AD Impact Awards were created by D&AD (a global advertising association) and Advertising Week (a global series of professional marketing and advertising conferences). The awards reach beyond the advertising community to celebrate the power of creativity to stimulate positive change. In giving this award to World Community Grid in the Industry Evolution category, D&AD Impact recognized us for having a societal impact that helps change the status quo.

World Community Grid exists because of the many volunteers from around the globe who donate their unused computing power, day after day, to humanitarian research. Thanks to everyone who contributes to this work.
